Complementary to the colloquia with their supervisors, the methods and materials workshop supports students in finding and applying appropriate research methods. In addition, the course provides assistance with practical research issues such as consent forms and the intepretation of the collected material. A further focus is placed on the writing process, e.g. in the form of various writing exercises. The learning formats of the course alternate between short inputs, peer feedback, group and individual work. Students are asked to send the latest version of their thesis exposé to inga.reimers@hcu-hamburg.de before the first session.
