Beschreibung:
In the course we will investigate the relationship of knowledge work and spatial environments. Here, the term “knowledge work” comprises collective as well as individual activities of learning, researching, innovating etc. while “spatial environments”, in turn, are to describe their architectural and urban environments – from micro scale (e.g. workplaces) to larger building and urban scale. Innovation and organisation theory holds that the structure and design of spatial environments strongly influences knowledge processes and activities. Thus we can view – and use – spatial design as a “powertool” for shaping individual and collective intelligence. The course is delivered in the format of lectures and interactive talks.
