Beschreibung:
Nowadays, geodata are required for numerous applications (e.g. maps, data base for building planning or urban design, as-built documentation, etc.). But what is the origin of this coordinate-based data?
The acquisition of geospatial data can be realized with multiple methods. In this course, different surveying instruments (e.g. total station, level) are introduced (phase 1) and applied to create a digital representation of a building or the built environment. You will cooperate in interdisciplinary groups and choose an object which should be surveyed and represented digitally (phase 2). You will define a specific order (e.g. tree cadastre in the HafenCity) and discuss which features (geometric and semantic information) have to be acquired in the measurement phase (phase 3). Finally, the measurements are to be processed and visualized. You realize an adequate digital visualisation for their task, e.g. layout sketch, map, 3D model under consideration of usual/common visualization methods (phase 4).

The project teams present their mapped measurement object and the used methods. They explain their individual interdisciplinary task and emphasize the meaning of the mapped features. (graded presentation).

Materials: All information and materials will be made available via Moodle.

The course generally takes place every fortnight (4 SWS each). The language of instruction is German.
