The Urban Territories 2 seminar builds upon, and deepens the theoretical and practical basis of the repertoire of methodological approaches discussed in Urban Territories 1 seminar. The aim of the course is twofold. Firstly, the course aims to encourage competent handling of individual and joint methods informed by current interdisciplinary discussions in conducting qualitative urban research. Secondly, it enhances the capacity of the students to be able to develop a coherent research design.
The different research perspectives and methods are practiced through fieldwork. In this process, research questions are sharpened, texts and empirical materials are discussed, and connected with the in-depth methodological approaches.
