Integrated Design Project

Structural principles and elements of multi-storey construction are explained and their possibilities for load bearing three-dimensional composition are deepened in the design. Various construction systems such as reinforced concrete, composite, masonry and steel structures as well as alternative construction methods of wood and mud are considered and their pre-dimensioning is learned. Furthermore, special constructions such as long-span constructions, glass and facade constructions are considered.

Along with the Integrated Design of the fourth semester (E4) and in close coordination of all the disciplines involved, participants carry out an individual structural building design. The proof of performance is achieved through the submission of a brochure.

Repeaters of the course or students who do not regularly participate in the E4 architectural design course should contact the instructor during the first four weeks of the current semester.
