Introduction to Structural Design

Students will be introduced to the vocabulary of structures. Simple static systems and their properties will be explored. The impact of loads on structures as well as the corresponding design of their forms is examined. Knowledge of the basic terms and principles of statics are a prerequisite for the following Structural Design courses.
