Beschreibung:
In addition to the technical introduction of manual camera handling and digital image development, the seminar covers both, concrete aspects of architecture, landscape and model photography as well as abstract and documentary approaches to experimental photography.

PROCEEDING
The seminar initially focuses on the technical basics of manual photography using an SLR camera or system camera. For this purpose, step-by-step applications are implemented in weekly individual exercises on framing, aperture, focusing and depth of field, exposure and lighting, light sensitivity and bracketing, color filtering, stills, blurs and panning, etc.
In a final photography project, the basic knowledge acquired shall be implemented in a combinatorial manner applying subjective-artistic and scientific-objectifying photography experiments.

FORMAT
This is a hands-on seminar! In accordance with the respective main topics, participants will train to take photographs between the weekly course meetings. In order to inspiring and learning from each other, every participant will present their four favorite shots for discussion. Following each of the presentation sessions, new sexercise will be given out for the following week. The seminar ends with the implementation of a final project, with free choice of content, concept and focus.

MATERIAL
• SLR camera or system camera
• 50mm lens
• Adobe Lightroom

If you do not have access to an SLR or system camera, please contact the HCU Geräteverwaltung in order to borrow an appropriate camera if available.
