Beschreibung:
Be it the gig economy, platform capitalism, or prosumption: they all have in common that they are buzzwords that attempt to describe the digital transformation processes in the field of economy. All of them are attempting to describe the changes in capitalism that have been driven by increasing digitization.
The focus in the context of this seminar is the recent developments, consequences and criticism. What commonalities can be found? What rules do these cocepts operate by? To what extent do the digital
business concepts differ from each other?
In this seminar, we will apply and discuss the changes in the digital economy with the help of different
explanatory approaches to selected case studies and discuss them. These examples will be used to illuminate the structural change of the economic system and deepen our understanding of it.
The goal of the seminar is to develop a better understanding for the changing digital sphere and to critically
critically question these developments.
