‘We make magazine’ is a workshop/seminar in the upcoming semester (WS 2019/2020) as part of the Q-Studies. The aim is to conceptualize an HCU based magazine, fill it with content and establish it as part of the university. It builds upon a first HCU Magazine Workshop that took part during the last summer where first ideas for the overall form and content were found. From here on we would like to further work on the format, discuss ways of publication and create individual articles for a first edition.
If you want to contribute, be part of the design team and set the future course of the magazine, then we would like to welcome you into the team.
In seven bi-weekly courses, starting on October 16th we will work as an editorial team on the design as well as on individual articles. Every participant is required to contribute one article accompanied by an abstract in which they describe their subject and means of exploring it within the format, and take part in the seminars in which we discuss both design or publications subjects as well as the individual articles themselves.
The seminar will be held in German and English.
ATTENTION: The first seminar on October 16th will be held in the "Werkstatt Gröninger Hof" at Neue Gröningerstr. 12, 20457 Hamburg. The workshop is located on the ground floor of the old parking garage. We start at 14.15 h.
