# Software Technology
Students acquire the skills and competency to independently solve complex problems using modern object-oriented software technology.
Data types; control structures; I/O; object-oriented software development; concepts about complexity; methods of software development; programming using an integrated development environment (IDE).
# Interface Technology
In both geomatics and hydrography, consistent data workflows from acquisition and calculations to storage/management and the output/visualization of the results are common practice. Data is usually transmitted via standardized serial and/or networking interfaces. The students learn how to use common interfaces in terms of their mechanical, functional and electrical characteristics. They acquire knowledge to configure and control the interfaces programmatically and to acquire or exchange data.
Codes; Mechanical, functional and electrical characteristics (RS-232/422/485, Networking, USB, Bluetooth); Handshaking; Connecting various sensors and geodetic instruments to a computer; Programming.
