Beschreibung:
Instruments play an essential role in environmental policy. The choice of instruments can be a major factor in whether or not the state, regions, municipalities, international organizations or other public entities can reach their set environmental goals. The course will look at different instruments that are at hand, reaching from command and control regulation to tools relying on economic incentives. Examples are planning, command and control (eg. limit values), procedure, trading schemes, contractual solutions, etc.
