Beschreibung: In the course we will reflect on, and research into, the relationship of knowledge work and spatial environments. Here, the term knowledge work comprises collective as well as individual activities e.g. learning, reseaching, or innovating. Spatial environments, in turn, will cover from micro spaces (workplaces) up to urban and regional scale. As has been observed in innovation and organisation studies, the structure and design of spaces can strongly influence the processes and activities of knowledge, thus becoming an instrument for shaping the capacities of individual and collective intelligence. The course is delivered in the format of lectures and interactive talks.
