Beschreibung: Project Management Lecture 1. Definition of project, content and standards of project management, basic tools 2. Organizations and Project Lifecycle 3. Processes 4. Integration Management 5. Scope Management 6. Time & Cost Management 7. Quality & Risk Management 8. People Management- Communication & Motivation 9. Stakeholder Management 10. PM in highly dynamic environments The lecture is held in two block-seminars, separated by the Christmas break. During that time, participants are expected to train their newly acquired skills in a test project. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with professional actors from various disciplines. The course closes with a graded exam.

Vorkenntnisse/ Voraussetzungen für die Teilnahme: No previous knowledge about project management is required. After the course, the students should be able to use project management terminology correctly and describe projects and their institutional environment. Additionally, all participants should know how to design new projects using the guidelines of the PMI (Project Management Institute.)
Voraussetzung für die Vergabe von CP: Exam Only minimum 80% attendance to the block seminars qualifies for the participation in the final examn The final exam is a multiple choice test with approximately 85 questions to be completed in 90 minutes. The exam needs to be passed with a minimum grade of 4.0 (50% correct answers.) There is no second test opportunity available. Bonus: With the successful and compliant delivery and presentation of the test project, the students have the opportunity to improve their percentage of their graded exam by 25%. (Example: The student passes the exam with 65% and has delivered the test project the final grade is 65% + 25% = 90%.) This option only applies for students who have passed the exam with minimum 50%.
