Beschreibung:
Charakteristika von webbasierten Geoinformationssystemen; Client-Server-Architekturen; Map Server; Implementierung interaktiver Elemente; Funktionsweise von Geoportalen, OGC-Standards (WMS, WFS, etc.); Einsatz im Bereich von Geodateninfrastrukturen (GDI); Vorstellung verschiedener OpenSource-Softwarepakete; Anbindung von Datenbanken.
Die Studierenden werden anhand eigener Projekte in die Lage versetzt, webbasierte GIS-Anwendungen mit Hilfe von OpenSource Softwareprodukten Lösungen zu entwickeln.
